When I go walking in the woods among the towering pines around my home in Muskoka, Ontario, I have time to get quiet and think.  I've often thought that trees are good metaphors for our lives.  I created this painting thinking how we are often like trees in a forest, standing alone, yet surrounded by hundreds of other trees and not truly lonely.
