Canadian Art Prints: Nature-Inspired Pieces for Your Home

Living in Muskoka, Ontario, I consider myself pretty lucky to be surrounded by some of Canada's most scenic lakes and forests. My paintings are based on real places—locations my family and I have explored together and that hold amazing memories of our time in nature. I'm constantly snapping photos everywhere I go (and yes, I’ve definitely said "stop the car!" more than once to snap the perfect photo).

My iPhone may or may not be saturated with lake and forest scenes—but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😉

I'm proud to have turned many of these original Canadian landscapes into fine art prints. Join me for a quick tour of a few pieces that have become client favourites over the years.  But first why would you want to buy a print over an original?

Why art prints?

Not everyone has the space or the budget for original paintings, and that’s where prints really shine. I love offering fine art prints because they make it easy to bring beauty and meaning into your home. The quality is archival, and each one still carries the heart of the original.

A closer look at the quality behind my prints

Each art print is created using giclée printing with archival-quality inks, which means the colours stay rich and vibrant for years. I use a textured, acid-free paper that give them a beautiful, painterly quality. All prints include a white border for easy framing, so they’re ready to slip into a standard frame and hang up with ease.

“That Special Place” – This Muskoka island print. Inspired by a hike with my husband at Hardy Lake Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. This sweet island and the walkway leading to it were the perfect combo for sunset photos!

"August Afternoons" - Daytripping around my home in Muskoka is a favourite pastime. This windswept tree print features the beauty of the often rugged but serene Canadian landscape. From my original lake painting entitled ‘August afternoons'.

“Reach for the Sky” – Capture the stunning beauty of Smoke Lake, Algonquin Park, Ontario with this Canadian art print. Hang it in your home or office and reach for the sky with this breathtaking view.

“Into the Woods” – Walking on the trails around my home in Muskoka offers endless inspiration. The sunlight filters through the forest trees and shifts every hour, even every season.  The hues and colours change in ways I never get tired of. This painting was inspired by those walks.  The original sold during the online Square Foot Show, but I’m happy to now offer this beauty as a print to brighten your home.

What sizes of prints are available?

Right now, I offer small art prints that are perfect for cozy corners or thoughtful gifts—but stay tuned! I’m working on adding larger sizes soon for those who want a bigger statement piece. You’ll be happy to know that all of my prints are proudly made right here in Canada. I work with a trusted local print shop to make sure the quality is just right. That means good things take a little time—so prints typically ship in about 3 to 4 weeks. I promise they’re worth the wait.

The best way to display art prints

I’ve had people hang these prints in entryways, reading nooks, offices, and even gift them to friends moving into new homes. Some have created little gallery walls, pairing a few pieces together. I love hearing where they end up. It’s one of the best parts of what I do. Knowing that something I painted in a quiet moment here in Muskoka is now part of someone else’s daily life? That never gets old.

Thanks for taking a little tour through some of my Canadian art prints. These pieces mean a lot to me, and I’m always honoured when they find a place in someone else’s home.

If one of them speaks to you, or if you’re just curious to see more, you can view the full collection here.
