We can be likened to a Lotus flower growing up from murky water and reaching for the sun, our beauty growing as we overcome challenges and reach for new potentials.

This 24x24 inch painting is named Lotus in honor of all of our stories.  Varying brushstrokes and bold colors represent our beautiful diversity, while the symbol of strength embellishes her neck. 

May this painting remind us of our sisterhood and the beauty that we hold as women of the entire world.

This painting was inspired by my realization that I had lived most of my life fulfilling the expectations of others, and had created my own prison of sorts. 

I finally saw through my limiting beliefs and understood that the prison door had always been open.  I was free to walk away from the expectations of others and create my own boundaries. 

The bright area lighting up her face symbolizes this choice of freedom.  Blue, green, and amber jewel tones scattered over her white dress evoke hope and possibility.  

Enjoy this oil painting as an inspiration to believe in your own voice and strength as a woman.

"Waves embrace me"

When I give all of my emotions permission to exist - even the negative ones - they tend to lose their power over me.  The light is then able to filter through and remind me that better days will return.

This oil painting honors all of our emotions.   It was created to help remind us that beauty can still be found in our darkest hours, just as the Lotus can reach for the light through muddy water.

The dance to please others often results in losing ourselves.

This thought-provoking painting was inspired by the ballet move "En-pointe", where a dancer is on the tip of her toes.   Everything may appear perfect from the outside, but when we live our lives simply to please others we may end up hurting ourselves.
