Queen Anne's lace grows free and wild among the other wildflowers in my yard. I often go for walks down in the flower patch by the tiny creek, soaking up the summer sun, and enjoying her simple elegance.
I use this elegant yet bold flower in this drawing, as a symbol of the grace and strength that we acquire as we grow wiser in years. Our silver hairs like our crown, the lines on our skin well-deserved. They tell the stories of where we've been, whom we've loved and whisper hints of who we are still becoming.
Simple lines create a bold yet peaceful silhouette with a crown of Queen Anne's Lace.
